Visuals
Bars
Histogram chart bars, drawn in blue, represent the count of data points where the sample mean falls within the range covered by that bar.
Probability Curve
The probability curve is drawn in black, and is used to give a general idea of the shape of the distribution. The type of distribution may be determined by viewing the Distribution stat.
Specification Lines
Specification lines are drawn vertically in light blue, using the dashdot pattern. Specification lines are only drawn if Show Specs is checked and specifications have been set on the Characteristic.
Customization
Histogram charts may be customized in various ways with scripting. Some common customizations of Histogram charts include:
- Modifying bar colors.
- Adding additional lines.
- Adding additional data sets.
Download
Charts may be saved as an image for offline use by clicking the Download button. If multiple charts have been drawn, they may be downloaded individually using the dropdown menu.
Insights
SPC Charts may automatically provide additional Insights into your data.
