Data Canvas Test
The Data Canvas Test is used in Inspections to enter data directly on an image. Using a Data Canvas can make it easy for new users to quickly identify which Characteristics of a physical part need to be measured.
Settings
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Label | The display name shown to the operator during the Inspection. |
| Visible | Whether this Test and its Tests are shown to the operator in the Inspection. A Test's visibility does not affect validation or whether data is stored. |
| Script ID | Identifies how this Test is referenced in Inspection Scripts. |
| Background Image | The image to display in the background of the Data Canvas. |
| Border | Whether to display a visual border around the Test in the Inspection layout. |
| Freeze Test | If this Test is placed on the same row as a taller Test, this Test will not scroll off the screen until the taller Test scrolls off the screen. |
| Aspect Ratio | By default, the Data Canvas will auto-size itself to match the aspect ratio of the selected Background Image. This value can be set to a custom aspect ratio (height / width) to override this default behavior. |
| Snap To Grid | Whether to align Tests in the Data Canvas to an invisible grid. |
Setup
The Data Canvas can be used with the following tests by dragging them onto the Data Canvas:
While laying out Tests, it may be desirable to use the Expand button to view a larger version of the Data Canvas. This can give a more accurate representation of how the Data Canvas will appear while running the Inspection.
