Tags
Tags are used to group similar Characteristics across different Parts. They are also used by the SPC Test to create no-code dynamic Inspections.
Settings
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Unique name of the Tag. Tag names are often set to match the names of Characteristics, but this is not necessary. |
Using Tags: An Example
Suppose a facility manufactures bolts in several sizes, such as a 1" Bolt, 3" Bolt, and 5" Bolt. Each of these Parts has its own unique set of Characteristics, including Length and Width, with different specification limits. To collect data across these bolts regardless of size, follow these instructions:
- Add Tags to Characteristics
- Edit the relevant Length and Width Characteristics and select Autofill to fill in the Tag based on the Characteristic's name.
- Use Tags in SPC Tests in Inspections
- Run the Inspection and change value of the Part Test to one of the Bolts. Observe that the SPC Tests update to the associated Length or Width Characteristic based on the Part.
Import/Export
Tags can be imported and exported using the following CSV structure.
| Column Header | Create | Update | Description |
