Groups

In GS, a User can be a member of one or more Groups.

This lets you streamline your data entry setup by:

  • Assigning an Inspection to a Group (or a few Groups) instead of many individual Users.
  • Restricting which Parts, Processes, and pre-defined Traceability values the User can choose during data entry.
    • When a User is assigned to multiple Groups, they can see all of the values from all of their assigned Groups.

On the navigation menu , you can expand the Access  section to set up Groups.

You can use a spreadsheet (.csv file) to create or edit multiple Groups and then import them. This can be much faster and easier than creating or editing those Groups one at a time in GS.
