File Test

This Test lets you add files and URLs to your Sub-Inspection.

You can either embed them in the Sub-Inspection or show a button to open them in a new browser tab.

Test Settings

There are no Required Settings for this Test.

Label

The label displayed above this Test.

You can translate this into another language (Spanish or English).

Visible

When this Test is not Visible, it will not be displayed to the data entry inspector.

Script ID

This is used by Inspection Scripts to identify this Test.

Type

This Test can display a File or URL. 

File

This Setting is only displayed if the Type (above) is set to File.

You can select a file, upload a new file, or leave this blank.

You should only choose a file type that your browser can display — such as an image, pdf, or html file. (Some browsers may not be able to display file types like Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel.)

URL

This Setting is only displayed if the Type (above) is set to URL.

Set this property to the web address you want to display.

The target URL must be displayable in an <iframe>.

Open in New Tab

To embed the file or URL in the Sub-Inspection, clear this checkbox.

To show a button to open the file or URL in a new browser tab, select this checkbox.

Border

Add borders to the edges of this Test.

Freeze Test

If this Test is placed on the same row as a longer Test, it will not scroll off the screen until the longer Test scrolls off the screen.

Translating text into another language

To translate a text field into another language (Spanish or English), select its Translate button.

Enter your translated text, then select the Save button at the top or bottom of the window.
